A remarkable comeback': Liberals leading Conservatives in exclusive new poll

From March 14 to 16, 2025, we surveyed Canadians on federal politics.

Some of the key highlights of our survey about Canadian Politics?…
    • If a federal election were held today, 42% of Canadians would vote for the Liberal Party led by Mark Carney, while 39% would vote for the Conservative Party. The Liberal Party has seen a 5-point increase since last week, taking the lead over the Conservative Party, which has experienced a 2-point increase. This represent the first time since early 2023 the Liberals are leading the Conservatives.
    • Nearly half of Canadians (46%) hold a favourable view of Mark Carney, while 28% have an unfavourable opinion, and 26% are not familiar enough with him to have formed an opinion.
    • While 39% of Canadians have a favourable opinion of Pierre Poilievre, 49% view him unfavourably, and 12% do not know him well enough to form an opinion.
    • Over three-quarters of Canadians (77%) agree that one of Mark Carney’s top priorities should be meeting with President Trump to discuss the current trade tariff situation. This proportion is higher among Liberal voters (86%).
    • Between Mark Carney and Pierre Poilievre, 42% of Canadians think that Carney would do a better job managing the relationship with the U.S. and President Trump. Canadians also feel Carney would be best suited to grow Canada’s economy (45% vs 31% for Poilievre), do more for the environment (40% vs 13% for Poilievre), and make life more affordable for Canadians (37% vs 32% for Poilievre). On the other hand, Carney is also seen by Canadians as the one more likely to raise taxes (35% vs 25% for Poilievre).

And 6 of the last polls on 338 Canada show the Liberals with a lead!

We have seen this show before. The Cons shoot themselves in the foot and stab their leader in the back. If they don't get a majority PP will be gone. We need a change but PP is not the one.

As many pundits have said PP has still been running for the Leader of the Official Opposition and has yet to show himself as a prime minster material in waiting.

And Trump is a millstone! Thanks Donald!

We sold 8% of our exports to the EU .
          About 80% to the US.
Carney is more comfortable dealing with his freinds than Trump.
We can get some quota to ship to the EU if we adapt to meet thier standards
          Been there, done that.

If Canadians swallow this we deserve what we get

The EU are our allies friends and the US and Trump are now our enemy on trade.

He has a call to Trump in the works.

Why show up in the oval office to be humiliated by the worlds biggest asshole in front of the cameras?

EU aligns with his plans for Canada moving alone towards net zero.
About the only ones in the world willing to commit economic suicide with him.
He set it up there but it's causing a exodus of buisness that will only expand as Trump and the USA leave that all behind.
China was getting the benefits but they will be looking at the US.
He's trying to change the channel over there by sacrificing Canada.

Chuck, what do you propose Canada can export to Europe that will replace the 80% of our exports which currently go to the US?

While simultaneously converting to a non fossil fuel economy?
How much wind power can you fit on a container ship to europe?

How many agricultural products can we export into an economy which is itself a net food exporter?

How much lumber can we export into an economy with an aging shrinking population base and no need to build new houses?

How many manufactured goods can we export into an economy which is based on exporting their own manufactured goods?
