"From Quiet Battles to Worldwide Success — A Tale of Sacrifice, Legacy, and the Unyielding Quest for Change" Behind every influential leader is an untold story — one of hidden struggles, steadfast sacrifice, and an unwavering quest for something more significant. This biography explores the poignant and inspiring journey of Mark Carney, who evolved from a small-town dreamer into one of today’s most significant economic figures. His journey was marked by self-doubt and personal losses, making it anything but easy. While the world witnessed him guiding nations through economic crises, few were aware of the internal conflicts he faced — the burden of responsibility, the sacrifices made away from the spotlight, and the enduring hope that propelled him through each obstacle. This heartfelt narrative uncovers the individual behind the title — a loving father, a determined leader, and an advocate for change in a world yearning for progress. With every choice he made, Carney reshaped the future, demonstrating that true greatness is defined not by power, but by the legacy one creates. Emotional, gripping, and deeply human, this biography invites you on an unforgettable journey — one of overcoming obstacles, inspiring change, and realizing that even the most significant victories are rooted in the quiet resilience of hidden struggles. Enter the world of Mark Carney — where sacrifice intertwines with destiny.

This from his new biography published coincidentally, Mar 1 2025.
      Papacy next I assume.

            Reduce regulation and cut taxes.
Let Canadians have a chance without too much goverment involvement.
            Like Chuck says,
            Trump lite, or actually more
            Reagan lite.

The Liberals , the party of diversity, equality and inclusion basically ditched women of colour to give another privileged white male who proudly said he was European the reigns as new king .
Gotta give the liberals credit , they are playing their base like a true snake charmer and it’s working even after racking up $1.2 Trillion in debt , scrapping their beloved carbon tax and used the Trump card to rally their base of stunned supporters.
long ways till the election, but it’s amazing how gullible and fickle voters are
I keep hearing this like it's a bad thing, when it's actually just the way our parliamentary system works. Carney wasn't 'selected', he ran for and won a leadership race for the majority party in power after the old leader stepped down.

Just like Danielle Smith did after Jason Kenney resigned as leader of the UCP. Just like Paul Martin did after Chretien retired. Just like Kim Campbell after Mulroney. Just like Scott Moe after Brad Wall.

If trump is unable to fulfill his role as president, do they immediately hold an election? No. the vice president steps in and assumes the role of President for the rest of the term, and appoints a new VP. If anything, carney calling an election shortly after becoming leader would be more democratic than the alternative.

I think you can blame Poilievre for the way the liberal support is soaring. He's a one dimensional character, he has been campaigning on 'trudeau is bad' and repeating phrases slogans that make shallow promises. Poilievre is more like Trudeau than you'd like to think. They're both populists in their own way. They both pit 'their people' against 'the others' using emotionally manipulative language, they're just targeting different groups.

Like others here, I'm also wary of a newcomer parachuting in, but I've heard some of his speeches and honestly, listening to Carney talk is like listening to an adult speak with logic and reason compared to Trudeau's condescension and fake woke pandering, and Pierre's constant negativity and confrontational divisiveness.

Don't know if the statement is true or not, can't be bother wasting my time on it, but dragging children into the debate while running down various political parties and their leaders is very cowardly.

                Really stooping low buddy boy.

With Justin Trudeau we had an actor masquerading as an environmentalist and a politician, with Mark Carney you have an environmentalist who was a banker masquerading as a politician!!!!
