A large proportion of homeless people have mental health issues and if they didn't start out that way, they soon have them.

Provincial governments are largely responsible for health and welfare.

So instead of blaming the victims, maybe blame the provinces for their lack of mental health supports and treatment along with lack of low income housing programs.

Several of you have called them freeloaders which is sure sign most of you don't have a clue about the issues they face.

Typical conservative view of the world! Its always the victims fault!

Apparently it has nothing to do with healthcare, abuse, mental health, lost jobs and very expensive rent?

Well said.
Sounds like you are a supporter of what the Danielle Smith government in Alberta is doing to actually solve the addiction and homeless crisis in alberta. Have you looked into it?

Danny will soon be homeless if she keeps trying to screw up the healthcare system by privatizing surgeries and making her staff sign high priced contracts for friends and draining the public system of resources!

I know you say you believe that an open checkbook solves all problems.

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith: After Quebec, will Alberta seek a referendum to leave Canada? Here's what Premier Danielle Smith has said - The Economic Times https://m.economictimes.com/news/international/canada/after-quebec-will-alberta-seek-a-referendum-to-leave-canada-heres-what-premier-danielle-smith-has-said/articleshow/119910951.cms

What's your opinion.

A conundrum not being able to say anything about Quebec, only Alberta.
Think Sask on board?
If AB bad, what's Quebec?

Check your manual, I'll wait.
I can post the CBC link to this story if that's all your allowed to use.

I can post the 42 recommendations Quebec came up with in November as well if it helps.

Overwhelming majority of homeless have mental health issues. Certainly not disagreeing with you. Your idea that conservatives think they are just lazy bums shows your ignorance and purposeful blindness. Neighbour girl went away to Toronto university. Smart lady with great potential but due to a mental breakdown ended up on the streets using. Lucky she got some help and is now off the streets with a stable home and job. Lucky for her she wasn’t out on the streets with fentanyl and drug cocktails which perma**** your brain after one or two uses. Sad situation these folks have no way back.

A lot of low income er slum housing has been gentrified into higher end living. It’s a trend seen through a lot of urban settings in the name of urban renewal. Couple that with population growth the most vulnerable are displaced.

Taylor Swift wants to move to Vanada and never go back to USA. So I offered to trade places with her. I’ll breath Trump’s air. Think she’ll take me up on it?
