I heard a stat this morning.
The top 10% of the population owns 88% of equities. The next 40% owns the next 12%. And the bottom 50% don't own any. Isn't that 50% the supposed demographic the left is supposed to be appealing to?
A few short years ago they would have been cheering for this. Just like during me intentional recession caused by the response to covid, they were cheering about the emissions reductions as a result.

Did not read much of the article, just enough to determine that it is utter asinine drivel. As soon as I saw that the author was a canuckistanian academic, I could read no further. US benefits from their tariff, full stop. Over 50 countries have been in contact with the white house wanting to talk trade. A few butthurt globalist oligarchs were trying to upset the market, which made for good buying opportunities. Made for a good chance to buy assets, that were overpriced. at a better price point, which I did.
