That is the title of an article on the CBC from a Manitoba based reporter. Interesting article to the extent that even lefty Wab Kinew has disappointed the climate activists in his province. Manitoba hydro has two major lines that need rebuilt as their ability to transmit electricity has been reduced by 20%. As well they are looking at building 2 natural gas plants to meet demand at peak periods. I guess that basically kills the idea of Manitoba exporting power to the west.

Chuck2 the reality is you can tax and regulate Canada’s oil and gas industry into submission but this won’t make a measurable difference on the world stage. All the farmers in western Canada could go organic and farm with horses but wouldn’t affect how hot the weather is or whether we get any rain!!!!

No, because it was the Liberals that paused the CO2 tax. If the conservatives had have paused it, then we would be screwed.

Carbon dioxide is a very smart molecule, it's deleterious climate effects are entirely dependent on the political affiliation and virtue signaling intent of the emitters.

For example, did you know that if you burn coal to power an electric car, the CO2 does not cause warming.
And if you burn an electric car in protest of government efficiency, the CO2 released does not cause warming either.

Even more amazing, if you enact enough taxes and regulations to force an energy intensive factory to move from Canada to China, the communist CO2 molecules do not cause warming.
