Chuck2 should we list the small minorities that dominate politics?
First off as mentioned in the article, Quebec separatism, this has been driving Canadian politics as long as I have been alive. Latest polling has Saskatchewan as having a higher desire for separatism than Alberta or Quebec at 33%.
Indigenous population, roughly 5% of the population.
Radical environmentalists, what percentage of the population are they?
I could go on and on.
Regardless, Jason Kenney got what he deserved, shown the door.

Just like Danny Smith will be!

The PP campaign has been telling her to shut up but she doesn't listen!

Personally the only bright side to the Liberal’s being re-elected is it should make Premier Smith’s campaign in 2027 much easier to win provincially.

Kenney spent too much time in Ottawa to think provincially. Squandered his time. Wasted ours.

It's not just Kenney and Kory Teneycke who have said the Conservatives and PP have gone off the rails with a flailing campaign.

Doug Ford won't help PP and PP is dead in Quebec.

And carney is gaining in urban centres in the west as well.

The Conservative needed someone who doesn't sound like Trump.

Too late for this election! Maybe the next one.

I would say it is a built in bias in the enemedia that portrays Poilievre as being Trumpian. If you truly listen to Poilievre and look at his policies you would see a very careful intelligent calculating politician. Trump just says whatever comes to his mind that day. I am sure there is a plan but it is hidden well.
Plus let’s be realistic, the electorate isn’t too bright. Case in point, Carney comes in and zeros the carbon tax, why because it has become politically toxic. Why is it politically toxic? Because Poilievre has made it so. I was listening to a guy call into a talk show. He was very thankful to Carney for zeroing the carbon tax, it was saving him $20 every time he filled up he figured. He thought he would vote for the Liberals. The Liberals benefit from Poilievre’s hard work. Voter’s are truly not that bright.

Another version of the "media is the enemy" of the people Hamloc? More lame bullshit?

PP is not only hostile to the media, he makes it hard to cover his campaign and ask hard questions. While all the other leaders make it easier.

That is tRump lite attitude from PP.

I would like to see PP eating another apple in between snarling in the debates!

He is such an arse with the media it turns most people off.

Calling a Globe and Mail journalist a "protester" when she tried to ask a question that wasn't on the list? way to go PP.

He's an idiot! And it hurt his own campaign.

He can't even get along with Doug Ford who knows how to work the media very well.

PP is a big part of why the CPC are not doing very well.

And if you can't stand in front of the media as long as it takes to answer hard questions and defend your campaign in a thoughtful and serious way you aren't fit to be prime minister.
