I don't subscribe to the Globe and Mail chuck.

Could you paste up that article Carney called fake news?

The one with the picture of him meeting with the ChiComs?
    You must have seen it?
Came out before he disappeared and started back in with the Orange Man Bad campaign?

Kenny and dug the thug are both lieberals so should not be listened to at any time. We had to fire Kenny because of that. Support for separation grows everyday in Alberta, which is why the left working hard to downplay it. How does socialism in canuckistan work without the tax farm? Sadly canuckistan is a nation of morons, chuck here proves that every day, so pandering to their TDS work well unfortunately. The younger generations are going to rue this day.

The far out Liberals are NDP or Green.
The far out Conservatives have the PPC.
So what happens is, it becomes an Anybody But Conservative campaign.

"Never trust a 50 yr man who lives at home with his mother, has 0 children and never been married"

          wise words.....

Kenney is a closet gay who should be shuffled along the anals ( pun intended) of history... forgotten for all the useless things he did while in power.
Who gives a flying hoot what he says...

However. Hes right. There is 0 sense in pandering to a verrryyy smallllll % of westerners who support separation. Im very much willing to bet that the % of albertans who want to separate is less than 15.. and pretttyy sure a majority of those are alot closer to end lf life...end of taxes... and end of producing a revenue stream than not.

Its sort of like quebec... the majority of those who are against separation from canada probably dont even remember the referendum vote.

No point in pandering to the minority when their vote is already strongly in your court.

Young people ( under 40) across canada are more concerned about home prices than they are about separation or oil and gas pipelines.
If pierre wants to have a shot at winning this thing he needs to come up with something to appease the majority voters in the large cities. Otherwise the libs will crush it. Hes got alberta and sask wrapped up ( even though hes a pretty poor candidate ) .. hell.....we would vote for a dog in a conservative puppy coat.

Its not an easy proposition for the cons when such a large % of the population in canada is urban.

And as a ruralite and farmer.. its easy for us to bitch and complain about those people living in the big cities. But they are the majority so they hold the sway.

plus.. we need to take a long look in the mirror and consider our role in all of this. Most of us ( if we own land and are over 40) are sitting on a butt ton of equity ( and not without risk and pain to get there) and farms acres have greatly expanded. Competition for rent and a largely " keeping up with the jones'" mentality ( we all see it... we all feel it to some extent) has raised alot of our values ( rent.. land prices.. equipment) to unsustainable levels. Nobody is buying a qrtr to get started fsrming here...
Farm sizes are increasing and the number of farms has drastically decreased. Small rural towns are, for the most part, decreasing in population. People arent taking over farms. The big ones are getting bigger and the small ones are growing too.. rural votes are, essentially decreasing. So WE are the minority and its important to remember that.

Im not going to say that anyone who votes for the libs is an idiot or misinformed. Infact i would argue that with social media and our cellphones we are the MOST informed voters in history. Is all the information correct? No. Is it all incorrect? Nada. BUT this is the new voting demographic. For the majority of people... the universal dental plan is a BIGGER issue than LNG exports thru quebec ( which will never happen because of years past when they got autonomy to control such things coming thru their land).

It sucks for the west.. but there needs to be a work around.

And as for all the money that sask and alberta send to quebec in equalization payments?
We all know it works on tax revenue right.... so if alberta collects more revenue then they will send more...and it gets divvied up later on to multiple provinces? I dont see many of you bitching at nova scotia, PEI , newbrunswick and MANITOBA whom all have received equalization payments SINCE 1957. SINCE!!! MANITOBA! Can you shlubs over there start pulling your weight please?

Quebec quebec quebec. Blah blahhhh. Even high and mighty alberta has received payments.. just not in the last 15 yrs. BECAAUSE OF REVENUE AND TAX BASE.

Lets get serious about whats important to the VOTING MAJORITY IN THIS COUNTRY... if we EVER want to have a govt that will help the minority...

Hint ; us. Albertans. Cons. Sasks. We are the minority.

Goalie, the problem with ignoring that 15% is that they are disproportionately represented by the most productive members of society. Those with capital to invest. Those who pay taxes. Those who start businesses. Those who work hard and want to improve society.

Ignore them long enough, and they will take their capital and hard work and skills and ambition to a jurisdiction that doesn't ignore them.

Doesn't take long to ruin a perfectly good economy once the most productive members leave or are removed. Just ask Zimbabwe, South Africa or even Detroit.

            Canada is on that path.

It's called the Pareto distribution. It applies to virtually everything humans do.
Ignore that productive minority at your peril.

Also called white flight but not PC anymore.

Things get unattractive so the people that can afford the high taxes leave and all the so called benefits are unaffordable and it all falls apart.
The employers leave but people stay because they own their house.
But the jobs went somewhere more attractive.

Works kind of like the guy going broke.
Starts slow but then there is no stopping it.

                    A5 says

"Goalie, the problem with ignoring that 15% is that they are disproportionately represented by the most productive members of society. Those with capital to invest. Those who pay taxes. Those who start businesses. Those who work hard and want to improve society."

Another version of everyone besides far right conservative separatists are lazy and unproductive? LOL

A5 just can't help himself from spreading nonsense.

And its not even true in Alberta! Let alone in the rest of the country!

A5 needs to get out more!

Looks like I'm not the only conspiracy theorist who makes this claim:

"They want to break us so they can own us. They want our resources. They want our water. They want our land & country."

                      Quote by Mark Carney.
