PP wants to lock up the homeless?

So PP is really scraping the bottom of the barrel for wing nut policy ideas!

So now he wants to lock up and crimminlaize homeless people who have no place to go but are forced to sleep on the streets?

That will really solve the problem!

That's right up there with bringing back single use plastics and straws as a really dumb tone deaf idea!

Maybe PP even will bring back the barbaric cultural practices tip line! That really worked for Harper in 2015!

Trump is attacking Canada and this is the kind of crap that PP wants to talk about?

He wants to actually do something about the thousands of drug addicted Canadians that are dying at higher rates than we had for casualties in WW2.

They aren't looking for a home.
Many have a home where they came from.

Where are they going to go?

They need housing, support and addiction programs. Where is that in PP's budget of tax cuts?

U can be half right and still on the wrong fence.
U are saying compassionate support for the homeless and addicted.
U say foreign aid even of a cultural training nature.
What if you had to choose??
Even if the budget never has to balance. Your policy is abc and support everything else without thought.
What if you had to think through a policy?

Maybe if they went through a program that was more than a couple of weeks and back to the street they could go home where they came from?

Or rejoin society and support themselves?

How's your safe supply working for them now?

There is no single simple solution.

It will take all types of approaches and start with housing and support programs that lead to treatment.

But the Provinces have been underfunding healthcare and mental health programs to reduce deficits.

And the US is wracked by the same problem in Republican states.
