Since the Horticultural forum seems to be kaput, I will try here.
About eight years ago I purchased an Evans cherry tree. It froze down two or three times and I sawed it down to the ground. With three years of new growth, eureka, two (2) blossoms showed up this year, the first ever.
Is there hope for success yet? What have others in Alberta or elsewhere experienced with the Evans cherry?
I also have what was supposed to be a Manchurian plum which has never bloomed ever and is about twelve years old. I guess I could chew or smoke the leaves, as that is all that it ever produces.
